BBC Newcastle trip

We went to BBC Newcastle and saw the news production room and the radio student

In this pic we saw Collin explain about how the mic work the air conditioning needed because the lamps get so hot an make so much heat

The desk he worked at has a foot pedal for the autocue and he said he can hear lots of people in his ear piece

Here is the editing suite where videos and camera feeds are edited and controlled

here are the lights for the news room /studio

Myself Dan Tidy and Emma Jackson made a video of us using an autocue and a I presented sport Dan presented news and Emma presented the weather using greenscreen

I learned that the weather portion of the news isn't scripted I think this gives you the freedom to be creative but might be a bit difficult under pressure

I think it could be difficult working at the BBC because of the long hours and there isnt a guarantee you would be able to get a good paying jobs you have to start off doing odd jobs first at least that is what we were told

I thought the visit went quick and was quite interesting I thought the lighting setup and the radio studio was really cool

Exploring the arts

Exploring the arts

I like the audio music and the visual effects in this because the soundtrack sounds interesting and the graphics look unusual

Doctor Who Peter Capaldi intro theme created by YouTube user 'Billy Da Kid UK

I like this site because t lets you create your own theme with some of the classic effects

I like Sylvestor McCoy’s intro theme because of the 3D effects
Peter Howell edited the theme for the second time and was performed on analog synthesisers

I like this remake of the doctor who them by the KLF band due to the fact of the song which I think is catchy

What I will do is edit some of the visual and audio effects to create my own version of an episode introduction of Doctor Who I might also add my own music effects to it I'm also going to include some of these examples and all the other doctor who themes also I shall remix some of the videos along with other effects

The things I will need will be the correct software such as video recording and editing software of some sort along with sound or music creation and editing software

The sound software I will use will be Garageband and Soundtrack Pro

The Video Editing software I could use would be Adobe Premiere or Imovie

I'm also going to include this or parts of it this song was made by the band ArcAttack
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdrqdW4Miao

The reason I like this is because of the technology involved and how impressive it looks

other intro I shall include will be
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCD_Aw9RXxU

I shall also include this one both of these intros were made for Matt Smith
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QGbsNIZ-uo

Here is an example of me using soundtrack pro with an example piece music
