Hero's and Heroines project
This is my Hero's and Heroines project of people I look up to in media
http://padlet.com/daryljolivercol/54771zigkx9a
What I could do
If it were my friend Fox Chaotica I chose for this project what I could do is bring in my laptop with he game he made and talk about that.
First experiences met at college the Beverley Specialist school then music and games
If I chose Hayao Myiazaki I could watch some of his anime's
First experiences anime such as Laputia castle in the sky
If I did Vernian Process I could perhaps listen to some of there music
First experiences music
Steven Moffet could watch Dr who episodes he did or wrote
Could do who created the original Dr Who
The owner and founder of Nintendo could be an option what I could do for that would be find a funny video done by the creator of smash brothers or possibly play a game that nintendo have done
First experiences the new super mario brothers

Nintendo general History
Nintendo released a movie of mario in 1993 which got terrible reviews.
They then released the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) which was more advanced technology wise than Sega's Sega megadrive but Sega was letting all 3rd party developers create games for there consoles which and when Sonic the hedgehog came out Sega owned 55% of the gaming market in america Because unlike nintendo they didn't have a lockout chip.
Both Sega megadrive and SNES both did mortal combat in 16bit versions however Sega's version had all the blood and gore which made it sell more but Nintendo's didn't which cost Nintendo dearly
and there relationship with gamers took a beating as well becuse it said that nintendo just made games for kids.
Sega's better games on the block forced Nintendo to finally allow 3rd party games
Rareware released Donkey kong country becuase Nintendo bought a controling percentage

"These comments I received I would like to add more to my arts award and will do so from home that way I don't have as many software limitations due to the fact I could edit the video clips I suggested together by recording sections I like and make a song for them"
I enjoyed the arts award especially the sound and video editing.
How my skills have improved would be I couldn't edit sound when I started where as now I can and I can edit videos better like adobe premier pro.

Animated GIFS
All top iamges above are gif
Zoomed in on game
Gifs when zoomed in don't break up because they are made up of shapes not pixels and the computer can redraw the shapes quicker than can be zoomed in

BBC Newcastle trip
We went to BBC Newcastle and saw the news production room and the radio student
In this pic we saw Collin explain about how the mic work the air conditioning needed because the lamps get so hot an make so much heat
The desk he worked at has a foot pedal for the autocue and he said he can hear lots of people in his ear piece
Here is the editing suite where videos and camera feeds are edited and controlled
here are the lights for the news room /studio
Myself Dan Tidy and Emma Jackson made a video of us using an autocue and a I presented sport Dan presented news and Emma presented the weather using greenscreen
I learned that the weather portion of the news isn't scripted I think this gives you the freedom to be creative but might be a bit difficult under pressure
I think it could be difficult working at the BBC because of the long hours and there isnt a guarantee you would be able to get a good paying jobs you have to start off doing odd jobs first at least that is what we were told
I thought the visit went quick and was quite interesting I thought the lighting setup and the radio studio was really cool
